Building Since 1992

James Scaccia is a third generation Italian/Lithuanian American who has been servicing the Southwestern Michigan region since 1992. Jim learned from his grandfather and father who have passed down the trades to him. Jim started in his own backyard when he was 6 years old pounding nails into wood and building tree houses and tree forts. He helped his father build additions as a teenager.

As an adult, he designed and built his own dream house in the Baroda area. Jim has an attention to detail and a level of craftsmanship that you will not find anywhere else. His son is now following in his footsteps and recently built and designed his own home in the Sister Lakes region. He recently traveled to Sicily where he was inspired by the craftsmanship of his ancestors. In his free time, he enjoys boating, snowmobiling, and taking his dog Bodhi to the dog park.

 For 33 years, Jim Scaccia has been busy working in and on the homes of Southwest Michigan. With an eye for design and a knack for problem-solving, James has an excellent attention to detail, a hard work ethic, a passion for building, and years of expertise. He has built both big and small, from small remodels and additions to large scale general contracting. Now, he is most interested on taking on smaller scale interior and exterior projects. RA Builders are fully licensed and insured in the State of Michigan.
